getting supplies in bulk

is it cheaper to get your rabbit supplies in bulk?
Where is a good place that I can buy both my timothy hay, and my pellets in bulk?

Yes, definitely. I feed 50lb boxes of timothy hay from Oxbow for $50! I visit the local pet store which has them, but often "feed stores" will have them, and some folks order from online.

I've been getting hay from a friend with horses so that is free but I'd love to find an online supplier of bedding. Our sales tax is almost 10% so I buy online as much as possible.

I buy hay online in bulk - usually at least 45 - 50 lbs at a time. For me it's a lot cheaper getting it that way.

I buy rabbit supplies from rescue groups. I avoid the pet shop thing entirely. Many rescues have their own online stores and there is probably one near everyone. If you can't find one, you can contact House Rabbit Society.

I mainly buy stuff from The Bunny Bunch in Montclair and I feel good knowing that the money I spent on stuff I need is going to help homeless bunnies.
