Hey, Im getting bunnies in a week or so!

I ordered this hutch, is it suitable for 2 rabbits.

36'', 1ft hight. But, is it okay for them to sleep in is what I am asking also, since they will also be outside most of the time. I think I am getting 2 lops.

For me personally i wouldnt say it was big enough for 2 bunnies but thats because i like my buns to have plenty of space even tho they are in the garden or house all day! I like them to still have plenty of room to hop about in if they so desire of a nightime!

It doesn't really have any measurements, but it doesn't really look big enough for even one rabbit.

personally,i wouldnt put one of mine in it,i keep mine in the house in either my bedroom or computer room for cages-they allowed all over the house(but not together!) and their "cages" are not cages so much as pens constructed from rubbermaid squares which are cheaper too

That is waaaaay too small for 2 rabbits!
I have a double hutch that is 8 ft long and 2 ft wide for my 2 buns, and 2 ft high on the smallest part of the inside (part of it has 2 levels), and the stilts on it are over 3 ft high. We had to build it tho, and it cost around $300.

Thumbs up

I think it is okay for them to just sleep in. My mini lop is about 8-10 lbs. and he just sleeps in a cat carrier. But it is only for sleep, he goes in about 7pm and goes in and out all night and day. He has free roam of my bedroom and has a harness and leash for walks. So yea, I think it is okay just for sleep.

I've also seen people make cages from chicken wire, I personally haven't but I guess you can make it as big as you want that way. I started shopping at Tractor Supply, not sure if you have one of those, but they sell rabbit cages there for $40...wait, I'll give you the link you can order online if you dont have one...

not sure if I'm allowed to post links, but there it is. I would suggest the frame kit, as you can buy multiples of that and make it as big as you want. there is also kennels too. that might work. here is the link....

depending on how much you want to spend and how big you want it. hope this helps. copy and paste links in your browser. They also sell lots of stuff for rabbits, toys, food, hay, flea/mite meds, bedding. I love that store and that's where I get all my bun bun stuff now. good luck!

Before getting a bunny, ensure there are vets in your area who knows how to treat bunny. The proper food etc...
