introductions of new bunny

I am getting a new Dutch baby bunny as a companion for my current Dutch. I am wondering what their living arrangements should be. I am worried about the new baby getting picked on by my adult male. Should I leave them in separate cages in the beginning or just put them together and see what hapens. Any ideas?

Bunny bonding needs to be done gradually in a neutral territory. You should read up on bonding before you get the baby. Also, if you have a male rabbit you should get a spayed female. The bunnies should not be put together until they are both spayed and neutered. Here is a link that for more info: www.rabbit.org

Also, it is usually easier to bond rabbits that are close in age. Good luck and keep us posted!
