Does your bunny drink out of a water bottle, a bowl or other?

She used to use a bottle and never complained about it, but I found that she looked uncomfortable when she drank out of it and I thought that it must be frustrating for her to get just a drop of water at a time, so I switched her to a porcelain bowl that is too heavy for her to tip.

I used to give my Schneeball water in a bowl but he just tipped it over and giot the hutch wet.

Then I gave him water by the bottle, but the rabbits teeth always bend the metal where the ball is and it ends up dripping and getting the hutch wet.

You cant win either way.

Stash, Elvis, and Sparkie all use bottles. Sakura used a bottle for a while...until she got bored one day and started playing with it. It didn't take long for her to realize how to empty it . So emptying the water bottle, getting water everywhere, and then complaining became her new favorite game . At first I thought the bottle was just leaking so I kept buying new ones until one day I watched as she emptied the whole thing .

Harry uses a bottle since he always gets his dewlap wet when he uses a bowl. Charlie does better when she has a bowl to drink out of.

5 of my buns use water bottles the rest use bowls. I have 8 babies & 27 adults. I prefer the bottles due to the desert sand storms but just to time consuming so the rest use bowls.

My first house bun was a very large supposedly dwarf lop..and she couldnt get on with a bowl..so she had a bottle and being a house bun i had to fasten it to a crate when she was free roaming..
but one day i went upstairs and caught her drinking from the cats water dish they had upstairs(our neuter tom had heart failure and the meds made him sooo thirsty)

However before i changed over she had a mishap with her bottle..it slipped from its loop and fell and bashed her front teeth loose..it caused many vet trips and resulting in her eventually having her front teeth removed! has put me off bottles.

My next house bun had both..bottle for sips and bowl for drinking..except in the end he used the bowl.
This one and the rescue bun drink from bowls as tho they have done so all their lives. When our cats were alive they used to sneak in oscars pen and drink his water..they liked bunny drool flavoured water i think!

oohh I'm curious too!
I'm in Chilliwack BC, I just adopted 2 buns.
Flemish Are you a Volunteer with SARS BC by chance?

My 2 buns drink from a bowl, so easy to clean and re-fill everyday.
