Looks like two new fosters...

Tomorrow night I am meeting a family who has two 4 year old Lop bunnies they are wanting to rehome.
I spoke to the couple on the phone tonight, and it sounds like the bunnies had a pretty free life living indoors having a room to themselves, but as baby #2 is comming there is now no room for the bunnies.
I don't have an opinion yet on the situation, I will once I meet these people. They have told me there want the bunnies going to a good home, and have been screening potential homes so far.

Anyways, the one bunny is special needs. She has a spinal injury, plus a leg injury that makes her not be able to use her one back leg very well, on top of that she has molar spurs.
They said the bunny is skittish too and does not like children.

I hope the situation isn't worse then that, though with rescue people usually forget to tell you something about the animal, or tell you last minute.

Well we're home
Mittens and Ebony are two lop bunnies around 4 years.
Both bunnies are very friendly, and well mannered they enjoy pets and even though I was told they don't like being picked up, they were much better then some of my own bunnies when i picked them up.

Mittens has the slightest of a head tilt (hardly noticable) as she had an ear infection last year. She is grey and super tiny. Her coat has a strange feel to it, like she has a course outter hair, and i can feel her spine when petting her.

Ebony is black and a bit larger. She seems it be the trouble maker of the two, as she had an adventure getting down the heat ducts today. Her bad back leg dosn't stop her from getting around, nor does it seem to cause her any pain. What worries me is the bad dry skin she has on the side with the bad leg where she is shedding quite a bit.
Once they are settled in I will give her a brushing, right now I'm just letting them have a quiet evening, as it's been a big day for them.

Here are some pictures...

It was kinda of spur of the moment me taking them in, I'm still not sure were i'm going to put them, right now they are not in the room with my other bunnies just in case they are ill.
As soon as the girls are spayed they will be up for adoption and you can find there profile in Petfinder.com under the small animal rescue society of BC

I am going to get my first foster bun tonight. He was supposed to be put down today and a girl rescued him from a kill animal shelter. As she was leaving one of the guys who worked there told her he didn't know it was back there or he would have taken it home. He said he took the last two home and ate them. I told her she needed to turn him in. He didn't need to be working there. I have two and have never fostered so wish me luck. I am afraid of getting attached to it.
