most friendly breed

Okay - what is the most friendly breed of bunny? Tabatha is a lop eared (well if her head was straight she would be) She is just so sweet it amazes me! I was wondering if most lops are this sweet and if there is a breed that is known to be really sweet.

a lot of people prefer the lops, usually Holland, as well as Dutch's and Rex's

my Californian is a very laid back lap bunny, i'd recommend his breed, although you have to keep in mind that he's going to be a 10 pound bunny someday

Okay, so I've got a mischevious husband and a few buns...

When I was younger i had 2 dutchs. They were nice, but not great.

Oliver is a Mini Rex and he is so sweet, loves to cuddle, give kisses, scratch my back, and boy does he have a BIG personality.

Hes just a lot of fun.

It was between him and a brown and white dutch at the store, the dutch bite me and almost drew blood, so needless to say he stayed at the store.

I, too, have heard the bigger the breed the more gentle and docile it is. I think that goes with many kinds of animals though. The dwarf bunnies are much more hyper and "aggressive" than some of the bigger bunnies.

Any bunny can be friendly but I've found that the larger breeds tend to be more cuddly. I have a Giant Chinchilla and a Californian and they are probably the two friendliest rabbits I've ever had. I also have two smaller mixed breeds who are sweet but not into snuggling as much and one is just really independent.

Lops are usually really social, regardless of size. The reason is they were the first breeds to be bred just as companions.

The bigger the more laid back. I guess that makes sense. I have seen in dogs and cats.
I would not mind having a 10 pound rabbit! I tend to like creatures that are big and chubby. I guess that is why I am always trying to feed my husband!
I am trying to get some weight on my little Tabatha. She is only about 3 pounds now and I really think she needs to be at least 4 or even 5 pounds! I am not sure if I can get her up to what she really should be. She is an old bun. But I will keep trying.

Thanks for letting me know. I am not in the "market" for a bunny now but one day in the future I do think I will be. Tabatha has certainly shown me the joys of being a bunny mom!

both of my dutch's are handfuls, so that much is true... but they're sweet and do enjoy cuddles, but if they get into a stubborn mood, well.... they know better than to bite and kick me, but they will thump when i turn my back to them. they're bad about getting jealous when i'm petting another bun... i wouldn't trade them though

my little netherland dwarf isn't really all that aggressive and hyper as she is prissy and snobby - she isn't scared of people, but she doesn't like some people. she's getting used to my husband but she didn't like him at first. she isn't antisocial though because she cuddles and kisses people she likes - me, my dad, my sister, and my husband's friend Rick... she's picky...

like i mentioned before - Mr. Creepy (Californian) loves everybody who will pet him

Okay, so I've got a mischevious husband and a few buns...
