I have no idea about bunny breeds...where are you going to get it?
If you are going to a pet store, they often don't have purebreds.

Yeah, PLEASE adopt a bunny that needs a home either through craigslist or petfinder, or whatever may it be! Those rabbits in pet stores will for sure get homes, since they're in pet stores. But it's the rabbits waiting in shelters who usually wait..and wait....and wait....and they REALLY need a home, too.

Plus, adopting from a shelter usually gives the added benefit of the rabbit already being fixed, or, 2 bonded rabbits need homes, and you pretty much get 2 for the price of 1. Adopting from your local shelter, or driving a bit to pick up some rabbits up for adoption through craigslist or petfinder, clears out room for more animals to be held for a time until they get adopted,

I know that this isn't what you want to hear, but you'd be better off waiting until your current bunny is fixed and then doing "bunny dating" to find another rabbit so that you don't end up stuck with two rabbits that don't get along.

YES I agree!! I was only agreeing to bunny-sit Akina when my cousin was having problems and this turned into a forever home so I had no chances to let Acacia pick out a friend. I tried to bond them but my cousin never did spay Akina and I didnt want to at the time for a number of personal reasons. SO now I have 2 giant pens constructed and the time it would normally take to exercise and entertain/feed etc one bunny now is double time to do both. :/ I realise bunnies are wonderful lil things but please try more options first And good luck!

you can have two rabbits if they are not fixed. I just would not put them in a cage together or go on ANY bonding dates. You can house them side by side and then after they are spayed for a month try bunny dating.
as long as you dont mind having two cages.

and remember some rabbits NEVER bond. you might have to have two cages for ever.

I got a mini lop lastnight. Her name is Babbs. She is one month old. Babbs and Buggsy are not in the same cage. But they are getting along so far. Only time will tell.

ONE MONTH OLD? She should still be with her mom! Bunnies are supposed to stay with their mom until at least 8 weeks old. Also, please tell me you're quarantining them?

How do you know they are getting along well if you are quarantining? Quarantine means they have to be in completely separate areas of your house. They should have no contact and you need to wash your hands after touching one before touching another. They don't have to be in the same cage for disease to spread.

One month old is to young for a baby rabbit to be away from it's mother. In most states (if not all?) it is illegal to even sell a baby rabbit until it is 8 weeks old.
