Red face

So I was just taking a bath and Olie hopped in to the bathroom. Hopped up on the potty and jumped right in the tub, filled with water and me.

We decided he wanted a bath so we washed him up ans now hes sitting on my lap all wrapped up in a towel drying off

rabbits and water

aloha

some rabbits like the water and some do not. It does not hurt them. It can be cooling in the hot summer to use ice cubes on their neck and ears.

heehee that is funny! Maybe he didn't mind because the water was warm. Clover fell in our pond a week after we got him (I fished him out straight away) and didn't like it one bit! He was all covered in weeds. We dried him off and he was fine, and now he knows to keep away from the pond!

lol thats great, as long as he didnt freak out im sure he will be ok. i once had a kitten that did that to me, boy washe surprised when he figured out there was water in the tub.. he gave me evil looks for the rest of the day. but some how managed to forgive me when he wanted to sleep on my pillow that night animals are so funny sometimes.

RattyRatkins- i think the never submerge them in water is more incase they have a fever, some people actually believe that when someone or something has a fever, dropping them in freezing cold ice water will make them better. altho it prolly isnt a good idea to actually submerge your rabbit in water, but if they do it on there own cant really do to much about it, besides make sure to dry them well, so they dont catch a chill. ive read a story the other day, cant remember what site it was on, about a rabbit who liked to swim in the family pool with the kids.

He's doing fine.

I think It scared me more than him. He jumpe, well so leaped in the bath and then kinda started to swim, and then was floating. I grabbed him really quick and yelled for Sean to grab a towel for him.

I think he liked it. He didn't mind when we gave him a bath afterwards. Although he did flick us with water on his little paws.

Ha ha ha thats is too cute, the closest we have to a story like that was when Schneeball was caught in the kitchen dustbin, although he has a few baths in the bathroom sink.
