Panacur rabbit to prevent head tilt?

When I took Daisy for her Myxomatosis vaccination the vet recommended that when she was 6 months old (which she will be in a week or two) I give her a course of rabbit wormer (he suggested Panacur rabbit), not really for worms but instead to prevent her getting a disorder which causes head tilt. Apparently it's very common in the rabbits he sees at the surgery and that something in the wormer can stop them getting it.

I trust my vet entirely and unless anyone tells me otherwise I will go ahead and do what he says (I don't want her getting a brain disorder!) but I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard the same? Or has any comments on it.. thanks

I'm not sure how effective that would be... head tilt is commonly caused by an ear infection, so I'm not sure how a wormer would prevent that?

I've never heard of that before. I wouldn't think it would completly eliminate the risk of head tilt, since I don't see how a wormer would prevent ear infections.

I think he said it would prevent permanent head tilt caused by a common psychological disorder, rather than those brought about by ear infections... either way it's obviously not a well known thing!!
