Exclamation Residue in Rook's food dish?

Hello,

I have two wonderful bunnies, Bishop and Rook. I've had rabbits most of my life and haven't ever encountered this, but maybe someone on here can help.

Tonight my fiance noticed that in Rook's food dish there is a strange residue. We haven't seen it before, but it looks a lot like his poop, only...fuzzier? It isn't really fuzzy, it just looks kind of fungusy. I don't know quite how else to describe it.

We feed both of them the same food, and Bishop hasn't had any problems at all. We clean the dish often, and this has never happened before. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks,
BlissfulBuns

What kind of food do you feed?
Where do they live? [indoors or out]
What time of day are they fed- when did you notice the fuzz?
What kind of dish do they eat from?

Actually, we figured out what it was. We found some in Bishop's cage too. It is just their droppings, but they had kicked it about and peed on them too. We don't know why rook decided to go in his food dish, but it's all ok now.

Thank you so much!
