Runny Nose

When I picked up Smudge today, I noticed he had a little bit of a runny nose- not like snot globs dripping out, but its just kinda greenins/boogerie around his nose. I looked up some diseases that a runny nose is a symptom of, and he isnt acting like he has anything serious... Hes breathing perfectly normal (no wheezing sound or anything), and hes acting normal, eating normal, and all that.

Its christmas, so vets arent open today, but Ill bring him in tomarrow if I have too.
Hes been inside for the last 2 weeks or so, and Im hoping its just a lil irrated from the smell of all the cooking and airfreshener and stuff like that hes been around, cause I read that that can cause a runny nose too.

Any advice on what I should do?

Sorry - didn't log on yesterday. And honestly, I wouldn't know what to say if I had.

Did you get Smudge in to the vet today? How's he doing?

Keep a close eye on him because snuffles (I think that is what it is called) can be very serious. Tabby had it when I found her. Make sure he's not sneezing more than normal and that the runny nose doesn't continue.
It is so difficult to know when to rush them in and to realize you are overeacting. Make sure he keeps eating, drinking and pooing - in the meantime you can always call your vet and see what they say. I do that with my vets. My dog and cat vet is pretty comfortable with me and knows when he can prescribe something over the phone and when to come see them. The bunner vet has not known me as long so he is more conservative but will still be able to advise over the phone.
And I hope you are feeling better. I am thinking about taking myself in to see a doctor. Stupid nasty cold!

Hes still fine, and he doesnt have any of the symptoms of snuffles. During his floortime lastnight, he was hyper as usual, so Im pretty sure hes fine. ^^ Ill keep an eye on him tho, just incase.

Oh no i hope he doesnt have any more Boogers..Maybe it was caused from keeping him inside when he's used to being out? the weather is bad you say, so where he's taken on his winter coat the inside heat made him feel a little sick?
