Red face Separation age?

hi! a friend's mother has baby bunnies and she was wondering how old is the best age to separate them from their mother, and separate the sexes? (It wasnt a planned pregnancy. she had gotten the rabbit only to discover sometime later that it was pregnant!)

Best time to separate is at 6-8 weeks. The bunnies will be less stressed at this point, though it's best to keep the babies in the current cage, and just remove the mother. Then, you MUST separate the sexes BEFORE 3 months of age. Usually by 8 weeks, you can tell pretty much for sure which are which.

You're very welcome! How many babies did she have altogether? What kind of rabbit (if you know) is she?

(forgive me for being curious)

I'm not sure how many she had, I know one died, leaving the total alive at four or five I think. They are dutch, I believe.
