strange growth on chin

just this morning i noticed a very large red growth on my rabbits chin. what is this and what should i do?

There's no way we can tell you over the internet what the growth is. You should take your rabbit to a rabbit savvy vet.

yea i took him in and it turned out to be an abcess. he'll be fine after some antibiotics and whatnot

Did your Vet tell you what caused the absess?

And did you Vet get all of the puss out? Rabbit puss is as thick as toothpaste and if it isn't removed it is really difficult for the antibiotics to work.

yea it was properly taken care of and everything but it turns out that the reason he had a tumor that caused the abcess so we had him put to sleep
