Teddy lost a nail

Yesterday I went into Teddy's room. He was under the blanket - his new usual place. He came out like I startled him and then sat down and kept shaking his left paw. I thought he smacked it on the table leg when he ran. I looked at it but it seemed fine. What I didn't notice is that he lost his dew claw. This morning I found the nail on his bed. There was one spot of blood on the nail and no where else. I didn't notice any bleeding when he did it.
When I got him his nails were terrible. The one actually grows up. I asked the vet and she said not to worry - they were not bothering him. I thought his previous owner may not have properly cared for him - now I wonder if he is just a klutz.

Does anyone know if it will grow back?

Aww poor Teddy!

When Zeus ripped one of his nails out it grew back, but I'm pretty sure it depends on how far down the nail gets torn out. If there is any nail, even a tiny bit, still there then it should grow back.

LOL. Yes they do!

I guess time will tell if it will grow back. I don't think it matters either way.
