what about they health??

In a chat with my boyfriend I remembered to place you this question..he said that the rabbits are animals very weak when concerning they health and illnesses. I know that they have to take vaccines to protect certain illnesses of the rabbits. what I liked to know is ,for example, if is necessary to have an extra care with them for they have a healthy life ? they are resistant to the heat? to the cold?

Thank you

When it is cold, make sure to give them a nice box filled with hay to stay warm in. Keep them out of the cold wind. Make sure your rabbits don't get wet or they can get sick and die. It is best to keep your rabbits inside until the weather is warm. In the fall they will get a winter coat and then they will be able to be in cold weather better. Hot weather is very difficult for them. Keep them in the shade or they can get heat stroke and die. I freeze bottles of water to put in my rabbit cage so my rabbits can stay cool in the hot weather.
Good Luck
