yeah we already have plenty of hay for the chins. So i just gave her some of that. It's oxbow. Now, I know chins are supposed to be on purified water, not spring water or tap, what about the bunny? Is tap ok? Can they get giarrdia or anything like that?

I prefer using pure water for my bunnies. Tap water may have chlorine or other chemicals in it that can really harm bunnies, especially young ones. Using the same precautions for rabbits as you do for your chins is a good idea.

As for the disease you were talking about, I have no idea what that is. Did you mean diarreah?

giarrdia is something chinchillas can get from some type of bacteria that can be in tap water. I'll just use purified water just in case, since i use it for my chins also.
