What breed is this rabbit?

This bunny was at the shelter where I volunteer several months ago...I was so in love with him but at the time I couldn't have a bunny but at least he got adopted.

What breed/mix is he? He was so magnificent in person... gorgeous eyes, huge ears..

I'm bad at guessing weights. He was definitely not a dwarf and bigger than my timmy (4.5 lbs). I guess from those arba pics he's probabably a chinchilla?

I would definitely say he is a giant breed, maybe a English Giant! I love those ears too!

Yea, those ears are something! Nice looking rabbit.

I know nothing about breeds, though. Gotta find a rabbit breeds site. http://www.arba.net/photo.htm
Looks most like a Beveren to me. (?)

What are the chances of a Beveren ending up in a shelter...? You don't usually see those very commonly. It could be a mix.
