What is an Emergency?

This is a list (probably incomplete) of conditions considered emergencies in reptiles:

Take to a vet right away:

- Persistent, uncontrolled bleeding

- Difficulty breathing

- Serious trauma

- Prolapse from vent

- Profound weakness or lethargy

See a vet the same day:

- Significant weakness or lethargy

- Egg binding

Reptiles Magazine just had an article on this, so I can add a few things to this list:

Regurgitation (unless you know that the cause is not serious, ie, an animal was just roughly handled immediately after it ate, etc).

Seizures
