Cool Bird MIA

We got quite a scare earlier tonight - especially Bubba. Moji (our Senegal) just loves him and he had handled feeding everyone tonight because he took one look at me and said "Go lay down". (He's about ready to cancel Sedona if I can't get myself together!! NO!!!!)

Anyway, we were in the b/r watching TV and I heard all sorts of fluttering. Of course Bub didn't hear it - do men actually hear? Then I heard it again and this time he heard it but we didn't do anything.

Bubba went to the kitchen to get us something for dinner and calls for me. Moji is gone. Cage door open (who left it like that?) and no bird. Bubba was so distraught. I went back through the house closing doors and then grabbed a flashlight. They like to get behind the TV or other places that are dark.

I don't know how Bub noticed her, but Moji was under the table w/the litter box on it (thank goodness John Robert was outside!). He picked her up and loved on her and she fed him, now she's safe and sound back in her cage.

So, just a warning - especially with the smaller birds. Make sure you close your cage doors properly!! (BTW, Moji is beginning to talk and it is soo funny! You wanna winky? Hey Henry!! and it's so soft you have to be close to hear her.)

It's the Grays who are supposed to be like Houdini. And Bubba admitted later that John Robert was in the house - he was lying under the table on one of the chairs (one of "his spots").
