Angry Favorite Food?

What one food can you count on to get your fid(s) attention?

For Toby it's a piece of cheddar cheese....he squeals like a little girl while his eyes are pinning!!

A cracker. Graham, or one of those "water crackers". In fact, any treat he is given is a "cracker?".

Cheese gets him too - but I think the crackers beat even that. When he gets one, he'll try to talk with his beakie full, then just gives up talking and gives a cute little squeal.

Chicken?! Jeez, I wish I could get Toby to eat chicken! It's so healthy but he just won't touch it. (he's a picky boy )

How do you give it to him? Boiled? Spices or flavorings? I've tried several different ways...but I'm always looking for new ideas!

String Cheese!!! He sees me unwrapping it and starts with the "yummmm! hmmmmmmmmmm!!" bobbing his head and pinning his eyes.

Of course - there's also the ever lovin' peanut- and I mean that literally- It like a religious ritual. He holds it in his foot, bows his head and rubs it alllll over himself- concentrating on rubbing it all over his face and head. We call it- "Dante lovin' himself with his peanut"

Jodi, fortunately Dante is not a picky eater. What I usually do for dinner is just give him a little of whatever we are having. Most of the time when he gets chicken its either roasted or sometimes fried (I am not very fond of chicken breast so if I end up having that for some reason little Dante gets most of it)

my cockatoo used to *love* chicken! Dante won't touch it... unless it's mixed into Chicken Fried Rice- when we get take-out and I order that I always give him a few spoonfulls... he loves fried rice!
Dweezil ('tiel) will eat the chicken in the fried rice too... but he's not picky at all and will pretty much eat anything.
