Hawk

We got a call the other day from the local police dept.Someone had hit a Red tailed hawk and wanted the vet to come and get it.They picked the bird up and xrays showed a shoulder out of place. It is a beautiful bird (and you think someone with 2 digi cams would take one to work once in awhile )
Turned out the bird was going to be sent to a wildlife santuary till it recovers and will be turned loose.
I got to feed the hawk today while the vet held him and all the time kicking myself for not bringing in my camera today. It was so cool the hawk didn't seem to mind at all.Unfortunately he is going to the sanctuary first thing in the morning and I didn't get pics.

Sounds like a cool experience. Camera moments always seem to come along when you don't have one.

I know if we ever get another or any other wild animal I will have to take my camera in.I was assuming we had a few more days with him.
