Angry Hi, introducing my and my birdie

Hello all
I would be Stacy, and I have an adorable 2 and a half year old cockatiel named Renny. He is my second, Dexter came and passed before him. He has kind of unusual coloring I'm not sure what you call it but I'll post a picture of him once I get my film back. Other than that he is a pretty good little guy. The only problem I have with him is he hates to be picked up. he runs from your hand but once you get him he is fine , it's odd. He loves to wander the house but I can't let him as often as I'd like because I also have a cat. Anyway if anyone knows that might have caused his "hand phobia" give me your thoughts otherwise i look forward to chatting with all of you.

Wink

Renny also believes he is a telephone Seriously I have not been able to hear the phone over him at your house in ages. He's a good little guy though.

Cool

Do you put your hand inside his cage to get him or let him come out to you?

Hi Stacy! I don't have much experience with smaller birds, but Eephus - my B&G macaw - seemed to not want to "step up" on my hand when I first brought him home. My hubby and I discovered that if we put a hand slightly behind him a little to the side, he'll "step back".

Can't wait to see some pics !

eep sorry I was gone for so long
ok Renny yes I have had him since he was very young he was a gift so I don't know exactly what age and as for picking him up or waiting for him he'll come to you no problem as long as your hands or down and he does step up just fine he just won't do it unless you corner him a little and kind of push against him now when I have him sitting out like on top of the cage if my arm is up there he'll climb up onto me just fine it's hands specifically he freaks out at I wish I knew why other than that he is very sweet
