I can't believe it! *keep fingers crossed*

I went home for lunch today & guess what I found?!?!?!

An egg in the nest box!!!

I don't know if it is sterile or not yet (I'll let you know after I candle it) and she must have just laid this morning cause Pebbles is still not sure what to do with it. This will be her first clutch so we'll see how it goes. Cross yoru fingers I get at least 2 sterile eggs! I'll keep you updated!!

I candled the egg tonight while the birds where out eating (although really it is too early, I'm just impatient ) and it wasn't truely clear it has a yellow tint to it... but truthfull I have to wait at least 5 -8 days to accurately assess it the egg is fertile or not. I'll be sure to keep you updated though!!!

today would be day 4 after the first egg & it is probably still too early to tell , but I just tried candling it & so far no signs of fertilization
I'm trying not to get my hopes up but yet am. *sigh*
