LOOKIE! It's a human chew toy!
My Lovebird peachy has gotten quite tame over the last week/week and a half. Last night, I was reading a magazine and she flew down and landed on it. Then she started chewing on it! She'd chew little strips and stick them in her tail feathers. I know this is what lovebirds do to carrie nesting materials but should I do anything about it? Anyway, you know how you hold a book right? The thumb is to the front to hold the page down. Well, she crawls down and starts chewing on my thumb! I shake my thumb which scares her off and she sticks with the magazine. Five minutes later, she crawls back onto my arm and starts chewing my elbow! I put some socks on my hands (I couldn't find gloves) and let her back on. Five minutes into the venture and she's biting my hands again! Scary thing is, she was doing it on purpose! She would dig through the sock to find my hand! Ack! She has this malicious(sp?) taste for human flesh! Can anyone tell me why she's doing this? It hurts!
