M-E-A-N geese? what gives?

so mom & I have two geese that we have had since they were born. We never knew their parents but they would cuddle with us and follow us when they were younger and now for the past year when we walk outside they chase after us and hiss at us! They have made me black & blue on my leg when one grabbed my pants and whacked me with his wing. They do this to everyone and have just become mean. The only thing they don't attack is our dogs, so we bring them outside with us most of the time. Has anyone had similar issues and is there a reason they are being such mean buggers?

Sexual maturity is my guess, ...you are no longer parents, you are competitors.

Thank you, We were wondering if it could have been something terrirtorial(SP) they seem a little 'nicer' now. It seems we are their best friends when it's feeding time. They will eat from our hands and let us pet them as long as they are eating. Strange little buggers.

Adult geese are extremely territorial and aggressive. I've seen geese attack picnickers, people out for a smoke, and wedding guests (even the bride).
