Aaawww! They are so cute. I was laughing at the last picture because from the angle you took the picture of the cage it looks like its only 4 inches high with 2 tiny tiny birds that almost look fake LOL!

Kay!!! omg!! When you first posted with questions about 'tiels I responded with the question.... are you getting 1 or 2!?? I knew you'd end up with a pair!!!
Congrats!! They are sooo cute!!

I know you have mucho experience with 'tiels, but if you need any suggestions or support I'd be happy to throw my 2 cents in!

How old are they? I just love their names! Rocky and Pebbles!
Are you going to house them together? Do you think they will nest and give you a clutch or 2?

I know I am just repeating what you already know but it can be hard to socialize a pair!
Good Luck with them, I'm sure they already know what lucky birds they are to have found you!- I am sure your daughter is thrilled beyond words.

The babies I've raised have whined like puppies when they were expecting their hand feeding It's a funny little noise they made!

Keep us posted - and - you take the best pictures! Keep 'em coming!!

awwww they're just so cute!!

Deja... the funny thing is I only intended on getting 1!
The male (Rocky) was surrendered to the petstore last night so there really isn't much information on him other than he was used to being housed with other birds & sings a lot. He appears to be a little hand shy but is also very traumatized right now I'm sure. He tries to say a couple words but he is very quiet about it. I am guessing by his appearance, he is about a year old maybe 2 at the absloute most.

The female (Pebbles) was in the petstore for a while. She came in with another male... supposedly they were a breeding pair? The male she was housed with appeared to be a feather plucker though. She looks to be about 2-3. She seems a tamer though, just scared.

I already have the 2 together, I know that pair socialization can be a pain... I think though it won't be as tough only because they are also new to each other, ... so far they seem perfectly fine. At this time I am not intentionally going to breed them. I know that females often will still lay eggs... but most likely won't be fertile since there is no nesting box. BUT I don't want her to get egg bound either so I may get a nesting box for her just in case.

I do miss my babies, yes & I also had a blast raising them... but that is not my intentions. If it happens, it happens, if not it's no big deal either.
