Pedro

While Pedro was out today, I decided to catch a few pictures of him. Thank goodness I gave him his pasta after I took the pictures. He made a mess of himself.

Yep, he is a stinker. He is bonded to me, however he is starting to let my stepdaughter touch him, without taking her fingers off.

My husband is another story, Pedro will not tolerate him at all! Pedro will chase him to take a chunk out of him. Therefore he only comes out when he is at work.

To the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot"

I'm a lil quaker, green and stout!
Open up my cage and let me out!

Better pick my up or else I'll squawk.
Rub my tummy and then I'll talk.

Birdie and tune very cute! I have never seen a quaker in person since they are illegal to own one. I believe we have a colony living in New Jersey somewhere in Bergen County in a park(hence why they are illegal)

Oops, illegal in NJ I mean :o

Yep he knows the song, but only likes to perform the first half. His mate (who went over the bridge 2 years ago) used to finish the song.

Quakers get a lil bit bigger than a cockatiel, by bout an inch longer. They are a bit broader too.

I am now trying to teach him some new words. He came to me already talking, so I didn't have to do any of the hard work. now my hard work begins.
