Rescued Quaker and Cage Agression
I recently rescued a Quaker parrot (approximately 4 years old) from someone who was just going to let him loose in the desert. I've had him for almost a week now, and he starting to settle in. I've discovered he likes music, and if I play some for him he will eventually come out of his cage and sit with me.
He still bites, but typically it's if I come near his cage without a treat (sometimes even with a treat which he will take, throw out and then try to bite me).
What's the best way to work on this problem with him?
