Lightbulb Went for a walk!

Got about three houses down, and Abe took off around a tree and landed across the street! I thought his wings were short but I hurried in the house with him and clipped them shorter! At least he didn't get up high...

Phew, that being done, we went back outside and took a few pictures as requested then I put the camera in the house and we went for a walk. He had fun ripping up the tissue I held in my hand and chomping on my ring. He was surpised when we walked by a bush and a bird flew out. He didn't really see it as he was preoccupied with the tissue, but I think he knew what it was... either way he lifted his head up and looked around like "What?" ha ha

We got a few smiles and a lot of strange looks. He eyed the kid on the bike.

He didn't poop on me once! (I *think*. Gotta check my back in the mirror! HA HA) We had a good time, it was nice!

Here are the pictures I took:

This is me (duh) and Abe (even bigger duh) but the shadow of the camera and my hand, eh. I don't care. haha

I tired to be a goon and make it look like he was sitting in the chair on the patio. (GI-gun-DO bird!!) I don't think he was very amused....

Cute pictures! I especially like the one where Abe is looking at the airplane. I'm glad you were able to take him for a walk! He is such a cutie!

Great Pictures!
You probably already know this - but I have to say it anyway

Even the best wing clipping can't keep a bird (especially a fast light super flight master Cockatiel) from catching a breeze and taking off. All it takes is one good updraft and those birds can fly, even clipped!
Have you ever seen those birdie harnesses? I have one for my 'tiel. They are easy to put on and really gives you peace of mind when you have them unteathered outside.
Actually, I have a spare, if you are interested I could send it to you to check out. They cost about $20.00 around here and I ended up with an extra because I was getting one for my Cockatoo and the wrong size was in the package marked Large (arrgh, lol).

He's so cute! He looks just like my Dweezil

yes I would surely be interested in that! Do you want anything for it?

Ooh, do you have a picture of it on a bird? I'd like to see it!

*cool*

Yep! It looks like that - except the one I have is hot pink

I'd be more than happy to send it to you... PM or email me your info and I'll mail it to you! No, No... I don't want anything for it silly! I have no use for it... it's sitting in my kitchen drawer doing nothing
Ya never know... Abe might like it - and if he got spooked or anything while outside he wouldn't get hurt, and couldn't get far!

It's just so great that you take him outside!! He must love it!
