You bird people may enjoy

These were "my" birds last summer...

A robin made a nest on our front porch and I got to watch the babies grow up and leave home. The Father? was very cool, he'd come up and sit real close to the door when I tapped on it. I went to the baitstore and would set out the tub of juicy earthworms for him, lol.

This is not long after they became visable in the nest

Cool

Takes me back to my wildlife days!! Aren't they fun to watch? And they change just about every day.

I used to love to go in and open their boxes (when I had them at the house) and all you saw were those big, wide yellow mouths.

Thanks for sharing - I really enjoyed that.

As much as my mom hated their mess all over the front porch, we had fun watching them grow. They usually make their nest over the porch light that is right next to the door so we could never see them. I hope they nest in the same spot this summer so I can have my birds back

The adult was cool, I never got too close to him, I'm a bit paranoid since my aunt was pecked a few time by a blue jay... The robin would come flying out of the tree if he heard me tap on the glass to perch on the rails.

Those are great pics, especially the one with all the little beaks in the air.

Oh how neat!! I've kept my eye on nests before, but never had such a close-up look ! Hopefully they do come to that same spot again - that'd be so cool !

Thanks for sharing !

Cool

The more colorful bird is normally the male. What great fun!

My friend in KY had a similar experience. She was in a two-story house at the time and some starlings had nested just outside her bathroom window. She's never really appreciated my love of animals, but she got a kick out of watching these guys go from little naked animals to flying off.

Your robins seemed to have a good experience there before - they'll most likely be back! Let us know!!

Great pictures!!

We've watched them before on our back deck. The little babies do nothing but keep those beaks open (ok, well, maybe they sleep too).

Your right, they are messy - but I sure love watching them grow up!
