He needs a vet checkup. The sneezing could be the beginning of a respiratory infection if he wasn't dried properly.

Does he have discharge? Is he eating okay? Is he lethargic? Like Jennicat said a vet check is probably in order if he wasn't dried properly. Rats are VERY sensitive and can develop URI very quickly and will go downhill FAST if not treated.

When you say depressed I'm assuming you mean he's lethargic. In that case I would call the vet ASAP to make sure you get an appointment soon.

PS-Rats don't really need baths unless they develop a lot of buck grease or have gotten dirty in some way or the other. They will always have a smell that *some* people don't like. Some people say that male rats smell like corn chips and others say they smell like grapes. That smell won't go away.
