Looking for the best care books.

I have been researching animals a lot lately. And am looking to purchase the best books on the following.

freshwater fish, amphibians and plants
Hamsters ( I'm thinking Hamsterlopedia)
Mice
gerbils
Rabbits
Ferrets
Guinea pigs

or any other species Goats , Horses anything I really want to learn. I already picked out a dog training book by a trainer i love.

I found The complete Encyclopedia of Rabbits &Rodents. Is that any good?

The Complete Encyclopedia of Rabbits and Rodents isn't the best for care information and sometimes the translations are off a bit. However, it's very useful for identification of rabbit breeds . I still use it as a reference sometimes.

For rabbits, I'd recommend The House Rabbit Handbook and Stories Rabbits Tell. Plus Rabbit Health in the 21st Century if you have an interest in veterinary care.

For freshwater fish and plants, I'd recommend Ecology of the Planted Aquarium, the Aquarium Atlas books, The Complete Aquarium, and any issues of Tropical Fish Hobbyist you can get your hands on .

Critters usa magazine that comes out once a year. Bowtie corporation that puts out Critters usa magazine also makes other materials to read on small animals.

I've also tried several times a search for a decent guinea pig book, but every time unsuccessful :/ The problem is that most authors want to make some "easy" money and they don't bother to very all the info about guinea pigs. I think that forums are the best place to research information, because you will always get arguments from some very experienced people and realize many aspects of some problems (world is not black&white).
