Well, as i say, she has a gorgeous and huge ferret cage, but she can squeeze through the bar spaces.. guess she'll just have to wait until she grows a bit.

I love the picture where she's peeping out the door! How much bigger will she get? She reminds me of the jerboas I saw at London zoo and fell in love with, theyr'e quite big with long stalky bird-like legs and hop about like kangaroos, must be all the same family gerbil, jird, jerboa.

Aww, yes jerboas are cute.. I think they are Very closely related to Jirds. London zoo is great! I went when i was about 8 (my family always used to catch the train from nottingham to london every sunday to go shopping) A squirrel came up to me realy close!!, I'm sure it wouldv'e climbed on me if i hadn't ran off screaming... LOL!

HAHA LOL
I've always been lucky with girbils, I've never had oe before, but my friend had one called Cindy and she wouldn't let anyone touch her and even bit my friend 8 times on her hand lol, but I just put my hand straight in, confident as anything and stroked her had gently, she enjoyed it so much! Every one was so amazed I touched her without geting bitten LOL, but I think it's because when I put my hand in I wasn't afraid that it went well.
Anyway, your Minnie is lovely, do you let her out of the cage for free-range or do you put her in an exercise ball or something?

Slightly random but you saying about squirrels reminded me, my friend has seen a white one in her back garden, albino squirrel. Quite amazing that it hasn't been picked off by some predator. Yes, London zoo is great tho I don't like the tiger enclosure cos I think it's too small. My sister 'adopted' a jerboa for my birthday one year. They put your name on a little plaque by the enclosure and you get a photo of 'your' one. That was cool.

Well, at the moment as she is small and fast she goes in her exercise ball which she loves.. LOL you have to stand on the sofa if you don't want your feet to be ran into.. I'm not joking she must go about 100mph.. LOL. When she is a bit bigger and easier to catch I'm going to let her run around the living room as i used to let my others do.. they eat my cocketiel's food that he's dropped.. LOL.

Yes.It is quite normal!
I used to give my gerbil and mice mealies and every now and again my rats get a cricket or mealworm. It's protein and they LOVE them!
