Baby Betta help please

Okay, so my babies are starting to fight a little bit, or at least one of them has gotten to that special age where they can't stand one another anymore. I was wondering about how old they are when they usually do this. I think mine are around 6 to 7 weeks old. Thats by the age chart on Bettatalk.com. I've got another tank I can put them in, but I really would like to keep that one as it is for a little while before I actually set it back up again. Its just a royal pain in the pattuti to set those things up, and I don't have a topper for that one, so yeah, it sometimes stinks up my room.

lol, yeah... I do often feel the same way you do. I'd rather not be bothered with setting up something new if I have something that already works fine. However, since your Bettas already seem to be showing aggression towards one another, perhaps now is about time to seperate them

I would seperate them if there is any fighting going on, the bigger babies will kill the smaller. It is also a good idea to seperate them as the ammonia level can get quite high if there are lots of babies, and that would be bad. I would go to the thrift shop and look for mason jars or even baby food jars (but they will grow out of them fast) rinse the jars out well before you use them. Good luck

If they're fighting it is time to separate them. If left together they will eventually hurt each other. While the injuries may not be serious they could become infected.
