Black Moor

Hello everyone,

I bought a black moor on Friday 1/5, when I woke up on Sunday 1/7, he had gotten tangled up in the plants in the aquarium and he was dead. Why would he have tried to swim through the plants? The pet store told me they had never heard of a fish doing that before? I am upset about it. Poor thing.

Are you sure he wasn't dead before he got in the plants? Most likely he died of something else and then he floated into the plants.

I agree. That's is very possible.

I'm sorry for your loss .

Did you have the water tested just in case it was something else, like ammonia, that killed him?

I wouldn't always trust what your pet store says either.Fish will sometimes swim into plants to hide.I never heard of them swimming into plants and dying tho,so it is VERY possible that he died before and floated/drifted into the plants.
