Unhappy

Recently, one of my fish had some weird fungus kind of substance on its right fin...
When I took him out to put him in medicated water, he shed the fungus thingy and 2/3 of his right fin...
Now he can't swim straight, and always leans to the right because he doesn't have a right fin!
Is it possible that a fin can grow back??
If it does how long??
Should I isolate it from the other fish???

Yes, fins can grow back. I would worry more about the possibility of another infection.

I would isolate him, yes. Only so you can monitor him closely and the other fish won't bug him. Put him in a small hospital tank and keep the water fairly shallow and give him plants to hang out on and hide in. Keep the water really clean. I would also add Melafix and some aquarium salt. But only add the salt if he's a species that can tolerate it.

What kind of fish is he? That will help a lot .

Your poor fishie. I have a had several fish grow back fins and scales. The time my turtle went crazy and bit all the fish in his tank (but didn't eat them) one of the gold fish lost his side fin and could not swim straight. I think Oscar bit it off too low and his fin never grew back - but he learned to swim straight! I am not sure how. He healed up just fine.
Listen to Sasami she is fantastic with fish! She helped my fish through a lot of bad times!
