if you choose to use the antibiotics remember to cut off the lights as they will denature the antibiotic, remove you carbon and when you dispose of the water please put the water in an extra tank with a uv light so you can completely inactivate the antibiotic before you dump the water out...at least this way you re not doing the environment injustice, i know thats super picky but every little thing helps

and definitely take the full dose of antibiotics, and never use antibiotics unless its deemed that its the only way, some people even add antibiotics to newly added fish to prevent disease, and it wont prevent anything but future problems

My chinese algae eaters didn't make it. But I will still medicate the others I am so gald someone mentioned the light being on I always turn the light on for a little while during feeding time. That might be why the meds didn't work.

I'm sorry to hear they didn't make it . I wouldn't medicate the others, personally. You really don't want to use antibiotics if they aren't even showing symptoms. Instead I would just do a small water change every day and keep the temperature up.

ok then I won't medicate them I already did a water change. I'll raise the temp and keep changing water.
