Clown Loach!

Yay!
I bought a clown loach today.
I have wanted one for yrs now and finally got one.
He is a young one, only $9 (normally they go for $15 or more here). And I got him from a good, knowlagable fish store called "Tropical & Marine Pets".I have always liked them and never ever had problems with them. They know what they are talking about too.

Anyway woo! I have a clown loach!
I didn't originally plan on that...I went in to get several pounds of sand for my cichlid tank and seen the clown loaches and decided to get one.

Nice!!! I love clown loaches, but I haven't had any. I really love catfishes, and all I have in my tank right now are catfishes, lol.

Now that is the only kind of clown I do like....clown loach. They are very pretty fish. I love their markings.
(and NO Beaker is Not a clown)

I have always had them. They can get pretty big and they can be funny, laying on their sides looking like they are dieing...big silly fish!
I also like them because they take care of any snail problem that a tank might have. I bought some live plants before and unbeknownst to me they had snails. Within a couple of weeks my tank was over run with little snails!
Someone told me that a clown loach lives for snails...hehe. Well, that little loach took care of those little guys in no time!

Did you only get one for now, Lisa? They do really well in a shoal and look their best that way too.
Here is a useful link about them

How bout some pics soon!?

Thanks.
I never got pics yet,as he is hiding...silly fish!

Yeah, just one for now...I am gonna get one or two more soon.
I just got the one, because I didn't take alot of money with me when I went,as I planned on just getting sand!

But now I know they have these guys there for a decent price...so...

I have heard alot about their silly antics and look forward to seeing them.I don't have a snail problem, but did a few yrs ago...wish I had a clown loach then!

Yeah,Padfoot...I am a HUGE fan of the loaches and catfishes too. Some of my favorite.I have 3 khuli loaches,1 clown loach (soon to be a couple more) and an albino corydoras.I would like a few more cory's soon too.

I promise to get some pictures soon.
He's only a small guy right now.

Oh and Luvy...what is Beaker if he is not a clown???

Ok... sorry for double posting but... I have no idea who Beaker is... I wasn't really a big fan of the muppets... however I just got into youtube to watch some videos and this was featured:

Sorry Lisa, for posting something off-topic, but I had to :S I'll promise to try to never do it again!

It's okay Padfoot!
No worries.

Luv - I used to be a fan of "The Muppets" and kinda remember Beaker! Thanks for bringing back some old childhood memories!

I got a couple of pics of my little guy. They are not the best, but they are still pictures! I tried to get a video...but it was too dark.
