They are cute fish...I never had one
myself,but I saw pics& they were in walmart once.

hey Sasami, can you apply your dropsy tips to practically any freshwater fish, such as bettas, tetras, ect?

It would apply for most fish but I wouldn't recommend salt baths for certain fish species like scaleless fish (cory cats are a good example). I don't know if it would harm them but considering how they react to regular aquarium salt I don't plan on trying.

Of course it also depends on what is causing the dropsy in the first place. Sometimes it can be simple as an improper diet or as complicated as a rare disease.
