Do you realize what you are doing by keeping him in there. You are stunting him, and when you stunt goldfish YOU might thinks he is fine, but hes not. He looks okay on the outside and his outsides will stopp growing (have you ever heard a fish will only grow as big as there surrundings, well thats only partially right. As I said before the outside will, but the insides keep growing and growing. It is very painful for the fish and whats ends up happening is the insides "explode".

I really suggest that you just get a bigger tank. If you dont, I am sure you wont have much longer with him.

Can you get pics of his tail?

The goldfish WILL jump out, its only a matter of time, you obviously have not had fish long enough, honestly im surprised he has lived this long without suffocating..i bet the oxygen content is so poor...hes not happy, you think hes happy bc you think hes fine in that bowl...hes not

Okay guys, really? We've established that we think her fish should have a tank. I think we can assume she's not going to get him one. Can we move on with our lives? I had a fish in a bowl once, the kind you get from the fair. He lived maybe a week. The end. I'm amazed the fish is doing that well. I think he'd be happier with more space. But you know what? It's not my fish. I can make recommendations all day long, but its up to the fish owner to follow through.

I just feel like we're beating a dead horse here. This wasn't even the original topic.

i had a big fish tank and i hate the maintenance that is why i got the bowl in the first place
trust me hes in a home and doing well if he were any where else he'd propbably be dead already
he was supposed to be a feeder fish for bigger fish at the pet store. I've already done him a huge favor lol

but see thats the thing, there should really be less maintenance with a bigger tank, once oyu get it set up, and all balanced out, you'd prolly only have to do a partial water change once a week

Its very sad that you won't do whats best for your pet. I wish humans could be made to suffer the same cruelty that they put their pets through.

If you are going to keep in a bowl, at least get him one that is better suited for a goldfish.

i think everyone has given her plenty of reasons she needs a bigger tank, but only she can decide, i think everyone should back off her for awhile..

Okay but i do have to say, bigger is better

And how would you feel if you were made to live in a wardrobe??

And please just view the prices decide and research a bit more. If you wont do this for your fish then you shouldnt have a fish
