got my betta and snail today

neither one of them have a name. i have had them for about three hours now. all is good but the betta is nipping my snails antena. everyone i talked to said "sure it will be fine, they can live together!"
i hope they were right.....
poor snail! hopefully he will stop messing with him soon after he gets used to it or finds out his antenas are not food...

anyway my betta has a very dark almost black face, with a greyish red color body and really grey blue steel colored fins outlined in an electric blue. he is one of the most prettiest bettas i have ever seen.
and my snail is just a small golden snail.

Congrats! I can't wait for pics .

Hopefully he'll leave the snail alone. I've never had snails with my bettas so I don't have any advice.

How big is the bowl/tank? I think that maybe, if it's small, or if it doesn't has plants or some other entertaining stuff, the betta might pick on the snail. I have a betta in a 30g tank, with other fish and a golden snail and I've never seen the betta picking on anyone. He swims around a bit, and is mostly hiding between the leaves of one of the plants.

I can't wait to see pics either, soungs like a beautiful fish! Mine is a crown tail, I think, with blue body and red tail/fins. 8)

It's a five-gallon if I remember correctly. So that's plenty of room .

That's awesome! It means he's already relaxed and happy in his new tank .
