Heater 1 gallon

Hello. I have a betta fish and the wter seems to be pretty cold at 68 degrees.

I was just wondering, i bought a 6 inch heater (100 W) and i was wondering if it would be okay if i put it in my 1 gallon tank. I know i should have a bigger tank but due to personal reasons, i cannot get one. the box said the heater was for 2-15 gallons so i am cautious about putting it into my one gallon.

Can anyone give me tips on what to do?

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, you can't even upgrade to a 2-gallon? Honestly, 100-watts is overkill for a 1-gallon and I personally wouldn't use one--even a 50-watt would be too much IMO.

Try something like this: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...7&pcatid=12087

Good luck and welcome to Paw-Talk!
