He's gone...

The little Goldfish I saved from the carnival only lived about two weeks longer.

Poor Isis....

I know it sounds silly, but I'm upset.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's not silly to feel upset, its easy to get attached to fish. Unfortunately, most of these circus gold fish are sick/diseased and inbred to begin with so they have short lifespans. It most likely wasn't your fault.

That message was from me...not Ilovecats! Ack, what happened!? At another forum, that's my username, and it worked here when I typed it in my mistake. Weird.

I have found that goldfish from carnvals/fairs don't live for very long, more than a couple of weeks at the most. But there was the on exception with my goldfish that i won once, he lived for quite a few years he was called "Popeye" don't know why? But in the end his stomach swelled up and he looked like he swollowed a golf ball but he died soon after.

Red face

Sorry for your loss.. Its always sad when a pet dies, however small they were!

*edited* I forgot to mention that a few years ago my sister and myself rescued/won a few fish from a local fair, I gave them to my MIL and they lived for quite a few years, in fact one or two are still in the pond..

I think you done well to keep a Carnival goldfish going for two weeks, usualy they only last a couple of days, I cant believe they still do this at Fun fairs at Carnivals.

I am sorry for your Loss, ( HUGS )

You gave him a good and Happy Fortnight.

I wanted to thank you all again. ^^

One day I will have another fish. For now, I'm trying to stop carnivals from being able to have fish. I think it should be listed as animal crulty.
