Kernel Mustard

I was at PetSmart today to pick up cat litter and I just happen to stop and look at the bettas and what did they have.... a GORGEOUS YELLOW MALE BETTA

I have named him Kernel Mustard

I'll have pictures later when he settles in more.

Lol I usually don't come home with random pets, but when I saw him I was like "
Mom this the most amazing betta I have ever seen in a pet store"
Who could resist such a beautiful fish? And around here all I have ever seen are blue, red, purplishblue bettas this is the only yellow betta I have ever laid my eyes on.

I took some pictures of h and I will post them tomorrow. I have him in a sterlit tub (2 gallons plus a bit) right now with a heater, soon duck weed and a piece of a silk plant, bubbles, a cave and a tube. No bored fish here. I need more ideas on how to keep h entertIned so if anyone e has any ideas feel free to post.

In my dads old (I think it was a 10gal) we had a couple of bettas. Get him one of those shipwreck things, ours loved it, but it was used mainly by the females when they where preganant

You housed multiple bettas together and they coexisted happily? I know it is posible to do that with females but both sexes?

It was females, we had two pregnant when they came, I think we had one male but they seemed to fight (they attacked him) so it went to a new home

I moved him into my 12 gallon, but I had only filled it half was due to the shear weight of it.

Thanks. I draw a big fish with a wide open mouth on the outside of his tank and he's right in the middle of it so it looks like he's been eaten. Its really funny.

I've been trying to find things to keep him enterained, he's been checking out the drawing I made for him
