meet......

Meet my new blue crayfish...Mr. Peels...
I got him for my B-day yesterday..when they took him out of the tank he took his food pellet with him..lol..and ate it during the car ride





ohh..and i had to add feeding time for my fish..


hope you guys liked him

anyone ever had a blue crayfish?

Very kewl! I use to catch crayfish near my parents house all the time, never blue ones though!

Neat-o! I used to have crayfish, but not blue ones. Doesnt he eat your fish? Thats what the pet store tells me so mine where in a separate tank...

currently he is by himself in the 20 gal long tank, its a quarantine/home for him...if you feed him well enough he should leave the fish alone, however if one is injured or he is hungry (and its difficult for them to catch healthy fish)...he may try to reach for them...thats why i dont plan on having any fish with him...maybe...a gourami in the future...maybe

besides eating pellets he can also eat aquatic plants ....thats why im not housing my more expensive ones...just my extra growth..but hopefully with the pellet food i am feeding him he will leave most of them alone

He is a beauty. Someone on my other forum has a crayfish named Dr.Zoidy and she is adorable too but she's not blue.

thats awesome! if i ever get a red one i would name it Dr. Zoidberg

Is her setup a full water tank, or half full, all the research and forums have gone both ways on this, I was just wondering how they did theirs

thanks guys! this is another reason i like local pet stores vs. big chains...bc i can never find such cool pets at the big chains, where i live anyway

OMG!!! He is soooo cute, I wish I had one!

P.S.: I totally agree, where I live, big chain petstores always keep their pets in bad conditions. Although I have a small fish store near me called fish pros, that is really nice!
