Is warrior supposed to have his fins all seperated like that? I don't know much about bettas but that just looks unhealthy, but I don't know so please tell me if he is a special breed or something.

It's supposed to be like that. It's called a Crowntail betta .

I have one too: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...mi/Pets683.jpg

Like Sasmi said he is a crowntail a specail tail type. They are many other tail types half-moon,super delta,ect....But the most common are veil tail(Ruby and Nemo)and Crowntail. You can get them at like any petstore.Nemo is a Petco betta and Ruby and Warrior are Petsmart bettas.I got Warrior a week ago after my sweet female Tugboat died. Also Warrior had a small case of swim bladder in that pic

what kind of betta is Tugboat? I have never seen bettas with short fins like that (I love bettas but don't know much about them so sorry for asking so many questions, but thats how you learn right?)

I love being asked about bettas.Tugboat is a female.Females have short fins. There are males that have short fins but they are not sold in many petstores.I have never seen a short finned male but on the internet.Tugboat's tail type is a Veil tail like Ruby and Nemos.
