My dad's Pond (pictures)

Here are the pictures of my Dad's Pond. Keep in mind that it is still spring here, so not all the plants are blooming yet, is gets more colorful the farther into summer we get. Plus he just reworked the plants, so it is not as full as normal.

Wow!! That is really beautiful! I would love to have one like that some day. I would have to move though cause it would take up half of my back yard

Their pond doesn't take up that much of their back yard... they do have a fairly large yard at this house and he spent a full year planning out exactly where he was going to put his pond so that it was in the perfect location... they can view it out their dining room window while they are eating, if they are sitting on the deck or from down below right next to it (the first picture above is a view from their dining room). At their old house they had a very small back yard (1/8 of the size of their new one)... it did take up most of the yard and he had a large bridge going over it that you had to walk across to get into the house, but it was really cool walking over the bridge and being able to see the fish on the way into the house. I don't know if he has any pictures of his old pond (I can see and maybe post them too). You can put a pond in about any back yard... putting it in the right space is the most important thing about the whole process.

Here is a picture of the back of their house in relation to the pond (photobucket stinks, I don't know why when I resize some it does, but when I resize other's it doesn't, sorry for the huge pic):
