I have a question for you guys....if you were to choose a wattage per gallon...would you be better off with 4wpg or 3.2wpg? Im getting this new light setup for the tank and im stuck debating whether to get a compact 4wpg or a T5 3.2wpg (i think the height of the aquarium is like 16in).....

which wattage would you go with?

Is it a T5 HO fixture? Or regular T5 bulbs?

they are just the regular, im getting an actual light fixture, however im stuck in deciding to go with T5 HO or a compact (i found a good T5 system that will give me 3.2wpg and a compact that will give me 3.9wpg...and so i wonder which wpg i should go with i want to have options to grow a variety of plants not just moderate light...so should i go with the compact ???....)

I PMed you back .

I think you should probably go with whichever is cheaper. You can use the extra money to buy a CO2 system if you want to keep some of the more delicate plants .

Although I prefer compacts a bit more (the T5 HO fixture isn't compacts, right? mine is so I was thinking it was at first) you don't really need that much light...especially if it is a lot more money.

Your red colored fish is a glolite tetra,(neon tetra's have blue in them, also cardinal tetra) The second is hard to see but resembles a female Emperer tetra.
