My sharkies!

I wanted to share a couple pictures of my big evil sharks with everyone, haha. They are my hurricane rescues. :-)

This first one is my Iridescent Shark. I've had him since hurricane Charely.. my friends aunt lost power for several weeks and gave us all her fish so they wouldn't die. So, I've had him for 9 months, and I don't think they had him too long. He is about 6 inches, he's huge! I bought ghost shrimp one time and put them in my tank, and then wondered a couple days later where they went, he ate them! Believe it or not, these guys can actually get up to 52'' long!

My other shark is a rainbow shark. He is also about 6 inches long, with a big fat belly. These guys can get to be 9'' long. He was also another one of my hurricane Charley rescues.

It's a 10 gallon. Small I know, but I only have the two sharks in there so it's good for the size they are right now. That rainbow shark loves the cave..

quick you are!

Yes ten is little for the end growth of those fish. but some time when you have very good filtration you can get around the 1inc of fish per gal of water rule. I tend to be an over stocker myself. but that just gives me an excuse to get a bigger tank so when they grow I can tranfer them. Cool very cool fish can't wait till I can set mine back up again.

You will definitely need to upgrade your tank in the future. A rainbow will need at least fifty gallons... it is great they are getting along but be wary of that rainbow.. they can get very aggressive especially to their fellow sharkies
