ok, i have 1 mollie left, and it seems fine!

so! lost all but one mollie. and my remaining mollie seems super healthy and vibrant. the others, before they died, got lethargic and slow. this guy is still quick and speedy. my oto cats are also fine, as well as the zebra snail. now, i was told that my filter thingy may not be enough to aerate the water? he says i may need a bubbler thingy? i'm open to ideas lol but i still can't buy anything until the end of the month. thanks for any input!

I am glad that the remaining molly is fine and I hope he stays that way!

Do you have live plants in the tank?

Honestly, I doubt lack of oxygen is the problem unless your filter is really weak and/or the water temperature is high. I can't even remember the last time I used an airstone in a tank...and when I did it was because the betta liked playing in it.

If you're worried you can actually test your oxygen levels. Those tests are a little harder to find, though.

one way you can tell that the fish needs more oxygen is if its mouth is constantly open and is constantly trying to "gulp" more oxygen...how filtration does your filter do...is it made for a 20g or smaller..whats your temp? is the tank near a window? i have had mollies before and i have yet to use an airstone...but depending on how the filter moves the water (helping areate it) and temp you may or may not need one
